Pump up your relationship with exercise

Is your schedule jam packed with work, shuttling kids to and from camp or sports, cooking dinner, bathing kids and putting them down for bed, only to find you have nothing left to give to your partner.

Putting your partner at the top of your list is a must-have. Why not get the most out of your partnership by scheduling a date at the gym. Studies have shown that couples who exercise together increase their chances of sticking to their program by a whopping 90 percent!

Exercising together is a commitment to take care of your body and shows your partner that you care about improving or maintaining your physical appearance. Working out together also means spending time together while adopting a healthy lifestyle. The two of you may be at different fitness levels and have different goals, but that doesn’t mean you can’t exercise together.
If your partner is already an avid exerciser and you aren’t, create a workout plan that will benefit both your fitness levels and allow you to workout together.

Studies have shown there to be a connection between fitness and improved sex lives. Exercise produces chemicals in the brain that create feelings of happiness and reduce stress. Several studies show that lifting weights increases testosterone production which helps to increase the sex drive in both men and women.

Take the time t
o renew and strengthen your relationship and your health by spending quality time working out together. This could be anything from running, hiking, biking, salsa dancing or playing tennis. Do something you both will enjoy.

Fit and healthy people live longer and fuller lives. Start living!
