Are you new to working out or getting re-acquainted with it? If so, you might find that it's a teensy bit harder to get into the workout groove than you thought.
It can feel heavy, exhausting and just plain hard work. That's a normal feeling. It's like clearing out the cobwebs, it takes time to clear them out before your house is cobweb free. Don't give up, it will get easier. It takes about 3 days to get into a routine.
Beginners should focus on getting in quality workouts. Start out with a 30 minute workout, as your body adapts you can gradually increase your time and intensity. Do not push yourself too hard to soon or you'll burn out and quit. Taking it slow is better than quitting or doing nothing at all.
If you're having trouble making it to the gym consider working out with a partner or fitness coach, who will hold you accountable and help push you through the exercises.
Once you get into the groove, you'll notice you have more energy and look forward to working out; missing your workout will no longer be an option. The new you you'll be flying out of bed or racing out of work to get to the gym. It will soon become a part of your daily routine.
Get into the groove!
Until next time...
